2022 Caddie Registration Dates (Only takes a few minutes):
Saturday, March 19th; Sunday, March 20th; Saturday, March 26th; Sunday, March 27th from 10 AM - 4 PM
  • Caddie Training Dates(must sign-up prior to class/weather permitting):
  • Thursday, March 24th from 4-6 PM
  • Sunday, March 27th from 11 AM-1 PM
  • Thursday, April 7th from 4-6 PM
  • Saturday, April 9th from 11 AM-1 PM
  • Wednesday, April 13th from 4-6 PM

New Caddie Information

If you are interested in caddying you must attend one of the New Caddie Registration dates above. You must also fill out a registration form, work permit (if under 18), sign the Caddie Handbook and pass an on-course test. Once passed, new caddies must successfully caddie in at least four out of our eight Wednesday Night 9-Hole Men’s Leagues before being able to caddie 18 holes.

Returning Caddies

All returning caddies must fill out a new registration form and work permit (unless over 18 years of age) as well as sign a copy of the Caddie Handbook.

Evans Scholars Foundation/Western Golf Association

The Evans Scholars Foundation is the nation’s largest privately funded college scholarship program. The program has provided over 8,700 caddies with outstanding college educations. Applications for the scholarship are accepted after August 15th following the candidate’s junior year of high school. Pine Lake Country Club is one of roughly twenty-nine golf clubs in the Lower Peninsula that offer caddie opportunities and actively participate in the Foundation. In the past, Pine Lake has had an excellent track record of producing Evans Scholars. Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I have to pay for my caddie uniform?

Caddie shirts and bibs are provided by the club; however, there is a $5 fee for the hat and identification pin. Also, you are required to wearnon-cargokhaki pants/shorts that are not provided by the club.


2. How often can I caddie?

In regards to caddie opportunities, we are primarily a Friday afternoon/Saturday morning/Sunday morning club. There are a few exceptions such as our Wednesday night men's spring league and other tournaments that provide caddying opportunities during the week.

3. What are the different caddie levels?

Our different caddie levels are: Honor, class A, class B, and class C. All new caddies start at a class C and are promoted based on member evaluations/recommendations, number of rounds, course knowledge, character, etc.

4. Where should my parents drop me off/pick me up?

As with years past, please tell your ride to drop you off and pick you up along side the indoor tennis house. For those that don’t know, the indoor tennis house is the large building with aluminum siding that runs parallel to Pine Lake Road. Do not pull into the bag drop area that wraps around the fountain.The bag drop is only to be used by members and their guests.
