How we handle information collected through this website.

What this covers
This notice applies to this website only. The member portal and the club's mobile application are operated by Northstar Technologies on the club's behalf and are governed by their own privacy policy, which you will find within the member portal.
What we collect
If you fill in one of the inquiry forms, we receive what you type into it: your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give one, the area you are interested in, and any message you write. Nothing else on this site asks you for information about yourself.
We also collect ordinary website analytics — which pages were visited, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what kind of device and browser were used, and which site referred the visit. This is looked at in aggregate to understand what people find useful. It is not used to build a profile of you.
What we do with it
We use what you send us to answer you. An inquiry about membership goes to our Membership Director; one about an event or a wedding goes to our Catering and Sales Manager. That is the whole purpose.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who else handles it
A small number of service providers process information on our behalf, and only on our instructions:
- The company that delivers our web forms to the club's inboxes.
- Our website analytics provider.
- Our website host, which keeps standard server logs.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Our analytics provider may set a cookie to tell repeat visits from new ones. If you would rather it did not, most browsers will let you block cookies, and the site will work normally without them.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept for as long as we are in conversation with you, and afterwards as a record of that conversation. If you would rather we did not keep yours, say so and we will remove it.
Your choices
Write to melanie@pinelakecc.com and you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. There is no form to fill in and no charge.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update the date below. It is worth glancing at if you have not visited for a while.
